The Canterbury Tales has teamed up with the BEST WESTERN Abbots Barton Hotel to offer a range of tempting group refreshment packages. The three-star gothic hotel is set in idyllic gardens just a 10-minute walk from the centre of the historic cathedral city.

Modern pilgrims can revive their senses with a choice of morning coffee and homemade chocolate cookies, a cream tea or full afternoon tea at the hotel – either before or after their visit to the award-winning attraction. Prices range from £10.50 to £21.75 (with discounts for seniors), and include admission to The Canterbury Tales.

Also on offer is a special ‘Breakfast Club’ package. Group visitors will start their day at the BEST WESTERN Abbots Barton Hotel with coffee or tea and bacon sandwiches, before travelling into the city centre for a visit to The Canterbury Tales. This will be followed by either a walking tour of the cobbled streets with the Canterbury Audio Tour or a gentle voyage along the River Stour on the Canterbury Historic River Tour. The activities can be enjoyed in any order, and each element of the package is offered at a discounted price:

Option 2: Breakfast at BEST WESTERN Abbot’s Barton Hotel, The Canterbury Tales and Historic Canterbury River Tour: £18.50pp

The Canterbury Tales is happy to help group organisers plan their whole day, including arranging time for shopping or visiting any of Canterbury’s other beautiful sights. For more information or to book a package, call us or email *.

The Canterbury Tales provides an excellent introduction to the historic cathedral city and its famous literary connection. It brings to life five of Geoffrey Chaucer’s best loved stories in a stunningly-accurate reconstruction of 14th century England. Set inside the former St Margaret’s Church, the attraction gives visitors the opportunity to step back in time and experience the sights, smells and sounds of medieval times.

The Canterbury Tales is operated by Continuum Leading Attractions, who manage a host of visitor attractions around the country and most recently launched Coronation Street: The Tour in Manchester.

*Free coach parking is available at the hotel, subject to availability. Bookings are payable 10 days in advance, and cancellations with less than 10 days’ notice are non-refundable.
