Group Sales Executive

The Canterbury Tales (occasional travel to sites throughout the UK)

16 hrs to be worked flexibly over 3 days, £7.50 per hour, £6240 per annum (£15600 per annum, pro rata)

Personable, presentable, highly motivated and enthusiastic are a must to be part of our team. Our Group Sales Executive will focus and drive the pre-booked group business and sales initiatives ensuring delivery of high quality customer service and generating leads. At our attraction you will sell the story of the experience - the sights, sounds and smells of a bygone era.


Our successful candidate will have previous experience in a sales/customer service/reservations environment ideally in the leisure/tourism industry. Background experience of working to sales deadlines in a target focussed environment, GCSE Maths and English, IT skills, and written/verbal communication skills are also essential.

Closing date Friday 11 May 2012 at 10.00am, interviews to be held on Monday 28 May 2012.

Maintenance Technician/Guest Services Assistant

The Canterbury Tales

£6.08 per hour – part time, zero hour contract

Ever wondered what it would be like to step back in time and work in medieval Canterbury? At our Canterbury Tales attraction you can be part of the experience - the sights, sounds and smells of a bygone era. We are looking for a team member to join our Maintenance department ensuring the successful and effective operation of our attraction and a positive guest experience.

Are you a technically minded person with some knowledge of computers and tills? Do you have experience in carpentry and can turn your hand to site maintenance tasks? Day to day you will work with the Duty Manager to maintain the operational systems and lighting of the centre as well as conducting repairs and renewals to all aspects of the show.

This is a varied and interesting role for the right candidate – personable, presentable with a creative and enthusiastic attitude are a must.
