“Bishop’s Finger Pilgrimage”
Kentish Ales and Canterbury Tales!
This package allows groups to make their very own ‘Bishop’s Finger Pilgrimage’, discovering the fascinating story behind Geoffrey Chaucer’s famous tales and learning more about Kent’s great tradition of brewing.
The package takes its name from the famous Shepherd Neame’s ‘Bishops Finger Ale’, which is inspired by the traditional wooden finger-posts that once pointed pilgrims to Canterbury. Joining an award-winning guided tour, groups will discover the fascinating history and heritage of Shepherd Neame and see how hand crafted ales and specialty lagers are brewed. This will be followed by an enlightening tutored tasting of some of the country’s finest ales and a two course lunch. Groups will then follow in Chaucer’s merry band’s footsteps and journey to the cathedral city of Canterbury to experience the Canterbury Tales. A costumed character straight out of Chaucer’s story will meet the group at their coach and escort them through the historic city to the Canterbury Tales.
The package costs £27.50 per adult and includes a voucher for coach parking in Canterbury and free coach parking in Faversham. For further information and to book please call us, or send an .
