Meet Saturn the Dragon, star of the puppet show ‘Saturn’s Fury’ which debuts next week over the Half Term in The Canterbury Tale’s Medieval Story Garden as part of the DragonFest! event.
He arrived in Canterbury this week to begin rehearsals, and started his visit by checking out the venue and taking his customary selfie!
Though busy rehearsing, he has also been getting up to lots of adventures and exploring the city, taking selfies as he goes. Find out how his week panned out…
Saturn spent his day exploring The Beaney before getting to his ‘Saturn’s Fury’ rehearsals.
Being an inquisitive explorer himself, he particularly loved the ‘Explorers and Collectors’ room- the only thing he felt it was missing was some selfies! Have you seen it? You can go along and see for yourself for free at The Beaney next time you are in Canterbury.
Check out more about The Beaney here.
We found Saturn wandering around Whitefriars, Canterbury! He was having a well-earned lunch break from rehearsals for next week’s show here at the Canterbury Tales, and had nipped over to Whitefriars to indulge on food and coffee before exploring the shops.
His day’s challenge was to treat himself to a selfie stick-I wonder if he was successful!

Saturn was up and about bright and early in order to take part in a walking tour with Canterbury Tourist Guides Ltd. and a VIP river boat tour with Canterbury Historic River Tours! He saw some the the key sights of Canterbury, including the Cathedral precincts and the famous ducking stool.
See Saturn in action!
You can see Saturn performing in puppet show, ‘Saturn’s Fury’, from 13th-17th February as part of the Canterbury Tales’ DragonFest! event, which is free with entry into the attraction.
After a weekend full of fun rehearsals, Saturn performed in the debut show of ‘Saturn’s Fury’ today! It went wonderfully, and all the feedback was brilliant. Saturn loved meeting all the boys and girls who came to DragonFest!, and can’t wait to meet more people as the week goes on.
