Sculpting Workshop

Craft Month Adult Workshops

Explore the fascinating world of medieval gargoyles in a workshop led by Brenda Burgess, a Kent based portrait sculptor and art leader. In this two hour session, learn about sculpting techniques to create your very own unique gargoyle sculpture in a focused but fun environment. At the end of the session, take home your gargoyle to show off what you’ve learnt.

£30/person for the workshop, a buffet lunch, a tour of the Canterbury Tales and a Souvenir Guidebook.

Continue your literary journey by taking part in our two hour calligraphy workshop with local calligrapher and artist Julia Baxter. Experience the time and effort that went into manuscripts such as the Ellesmere Canterbury Tales before you embark of creating your very own work with quill pens and ink, finishing with a fascinating piece of art for you to take home.

Towers and Tales Joint Ticket

We have partnered with the Westgate Towers to offer the perfect addition to any Canterbury itinerary.  Experience the Canterbury Tales tour, a medieval pilgrimage from London to Canterbury and hear five of Geoffrey Chaucer’s most famous tales, then explore the Westgate Towers museum and viewing point, with a breath taking view of Canterbury from the top.
