Now entering its third year, the festival will be bigger and better then ever before. With the help of Paranormal investigator Mark Turner from Ghost Finders Scotland, one of the most successful paranormal investigation teams in the UK and Fright Nights, the UK’s leading ghost hunting specialists, Ghost Fest sets out to uncover the dark secrets that lie within the former parish church of St Margaret’s, home to the successful Canterbury Tales visitor attraction. Founded during Anglo-Saxon times, dating back to 1153, the church is a perfect location for paranormal activity.

Day One - Monday 27th October
EVP (Electronic Voice Phenomenon) - Price: £15.00*
7.00pm – 8.30pm and 9.00pm – 10.30pm
A unique opportunity to take part in a paranormal scientific experiment taking place in our 12th century medieval church at The Canterbury Tales visitor attraction. Using EVP scientific recording equipment you will be invited to capture ‘spirit’ voices which cannot normally be heard by the human ear! Each session lasts an hour with a 30 minute interpretation and feed back session afterwards.
Day Two - Tuesday 28th October
Paranormal Dark Investigation - Price: £30.00*
7.00pm – midnight
Following a supernatural tour of the Canterbury Tales by an experienced medium, this investigation gives you the opportunity to collect evidence of paranormal activity using an array of scientific equipment. Join Ghost Finders Scotland and a medium as they go in search of the church’s former residents.

Join Kent’s award-winning ghost tour guide, John Hippisley, on our exclusive Ghost Fest ghost tour of Canterbury taking a light hearted look at ghosts and hunting. Come dressed in ghostly garb as your favourite ‘horror character’ and get a £1.00 off all prices. There will be prizes for the best and scariest dressed. Day Four - Thursday 30th October
Psychic & Paranormal Evening - Price: £30.00*
7.00pm - 10.00pm
A night of high spirited psychic entertainment. Ever wondered what it’s like to take part in a séance, see a medium at work, try your hand at EVP (electronic voice phenomenon) or have your tarot cards read? Come along and you can experience all these psychic arts at first hand.
Day Five - Friday 31st October
Overnight Halloween Ghost Vigil** - Price: £45.00*
9.00pm – 4.00am
This event is 100% vigil! On this most haunted of nights, come and join us for an exclusive evening and experience real life paranormal activity. The vigil begins with an extended mediumship walk using ghost hunting equipment, with mini-vigils and séances in various locations. You will then be split into smaller groups for longer, more extensive vigils featuring experiments and psychic exercises. Throughout the night you will be joined by experienced paranormal investigators and clairvoyant mediums who will use their knowledge and experience to ensure you have an extraordinary night.
Day Six - Saturday 1st November
Ghost Fest Finale
Midnight Ghost Hunt & Psychic Spectacular** - Price £45.00*
7.00pm – 2.00am
The finale to the Canterbury Tales Ghost Fest, our Ghost Experience is packed with psychic entertaining activities. Take a journey through hundreds of years of history and hauntings in a supernatural history tour of Canterbury after which you will be taken into the notoriously haunted St Margaret’s Church graveyard. Here you will be greeted by a host of mediums, tarot readers and illusionists. You are then invited to explore The Canterbury Tales where you can meet paranormal experts, mediums and join in vigils and séances. Your evening ends with a final vigil session inside the 11th century church and outside in the haunted graveyard.
*Price includes refreshments at The Custard Tart, St. Margaret’s Street during each event except Friday 31st and Saturday 1st November where refreshments will be available in the attraction.
