WEDNESDAY, 19 MARCH
‘HAPPY BIRTHDAY’ THE CANTERBURY TALES
A day of special events to celebrate the attraction’s 20th birthday, including a live open air performance of the bawdy Miller’s Tale at 2pm and The Pardoner’s Tale at 3pm. Come face to face with our Knight in shining armour and enjoy his demonstrations of battle tactics from midday.

FRIDAY, 21 MARCH (GOOD FRIDAY)
MEET THE BRAVE KNIGHT
Come face to face with our Knight in ‘shining armour’ and enjoy his demonstrations of battle tactics to be staged in the churchyard to the rear of The Canterbury Tales. A FREE event from 11.00am to 4.00pm.

SATURDAY, 22 MARCH (EASTER SATURDAY)

Enjoy thoroughly entertaining and modern adaptations of The Pardoner’s Tale and The Miller’s Tale presented as open air theatre performances in the churchyard to the rear of The Canterbury Tales. A FREE event with performances at 12 noon, 2pm and 3pm.

MEDIEVAL MEDICINES AND CURES
The whole family will love the lively and sometimes ‘gruesome’explanations and demonstrations of unusual and common medieval medicines and cures presented by our own expert ‘Wise Woman’ from 11.00am to 4.00pm. A FREE event in the churchyard to the rear of The Canterbury Tales.

SATURDAY AND SUNDAY, 24-25 MAY (BANK HOLIDAY WEEKEND)

MEDIEVAL MARKET
A scene from medieval Canterbury - browse the stalls, chat to the knowledgeable stallholders and enjoy demonstrations from 11.00am to 4.00pm. A FREE event in the churchyard to the rear of The Canterbury Tales.

MEET MR CHAUCER
Enjoy thoroughly entertaining and modern adaptations of The Pardoner’s and The Miller’s Tale presented as open air theatre performances in the churchyard to the rear of The Canterbury Tales. A FREE event with performances at 12 noon, 2pm and 3pm.

TUESDAY, 5 AUGUST
STAINED GLASS PAINTING
A workshop for the children to make and take home their own stained glass souvenir, from 11.00am to 4.00pm. A FREE event staged in the churchyard to the rear of The Canterbury Tales.

TUESDAY, 12 AUGUST
WOOD BLOCK PRINTING
A workshop for the children to have a go at the earliest form of fifteenth century printing from 11.00am to 4.00pm. A FREE event to be staged in the churchyard to the rear of The Canterbury Tales. 

THURSDAY, 14 AUGUST
MEDIEVAL MEDICINES AND CURES

Tour the magical Canterbury Tales and enjoy stories of love, romance, jealousy and trickery then enjoy a live performance of the bawdy Miller’s Tale performed by Dai Jenkins of Keystage Theatre.
